Recognized as USA Today’s Best New Attraction in 2019 and one of Time Magazine’s 100 Greatest Places, Tulsa’s Gathering Place has garnered a lot of attention in its short, 2-year existence. It should also be recognized for its commitment to diversity and inclusion. This week, I was able to spend some time with Executive Director Tony Moore and his leadership team talking about implicit bias. Despite the masks and social distancing, we had very engaging and constructive conversations. Conversations that will hopefully result in even better interactions with park-goers. Tulsa is so lucky to be home to the jewel that is the Gathering Place and for the leadership that runs it.
